Hi all, we want to sell our car, I have taken loads of photo's etc. Had reasonable first quotes from both but I just wanted to know what your experiences of them are and any pointers. Our car is white and I'm a little worried about not seeing the minor scratches and them haggling. I think its worth t cutting...

I sold my mum’s car through motorway when she gave up driving. We took all the photos and pointed out any scrapes or marks on the car so that there couldn’t be any haggling when they arrived to view it. The only thing we had missed was the cord for the parcel shelf was broken and they knocked £25 off for this. I also sold my son’s car through motorway and that went through smoothly too. I think the key is to mention everything that they might pick up before they arrive to view it.

We’ve sold a few cars through Motorway and it’s been seamless. Be really careful when you take photos as they’ll be rejected if not quite right. Also take photos of any dents/scratches/minor marks and declare them as they’ll deduct from the sale price when it’s sold.
We found the whole process each time really easy to follow with regular updates by email and the app.

I sold my car through Big Wants Your Car. Very easy and they buy it for the price they quote, none of this offering less on the doorstep.

DH had a very good experience with Motorway.

One very good experience with Motorway, one very frustrating one where they dropped the price significantly overnight.

Do. I got £1k more from them than I was offered by Motorway. I put all the details in and sent of pictures. They came back with a quote. I took that. Then a chap came over in a large van and assessed it, he spent time having a really good look over. Then you either get the price they offered, or if it’s no good at all they walk away, no sucking air in through teeth and offering less. Then they transfer you then money and once that has gone through put it in the back of the van. Job done.
