Loved my Kia Sportage. Best car I’ve ever had. Mine was 2 wheel drive. Had it for 10 years from new and replaced it when it had almost 150k miles on clock and still had nothing wrong with it. Amazing car! Fitted kids, dogs and suitcases in when we had UK holidays, so spacious. Have an Audi now but still prefer my Kia and wish I’d have gotten another Kia instead. Would definitely recommend.

Watching with interest

How old? Do you really need four wheel drive?

We replaced a 2WD version because we discovered we did actually need 4WD, and I don’t like manual gearboxes. We had a current model auto 2WD for several weeks and, ironically, I didn’t like that because the auto gearbox was horrible.

Otherwise, they are pleasant enough cars.

God I absolutely hate ours ! Mainly due to the tech.

Weve had 4 Kias in 10 years. 3 on PPC and one we bought outright. Had a Sportage 2 wheel drive was brilliant but felt lacked "oomph" after that we went for sports/G-Tech models of ceed and proceed
In the market for a new car end of this year. Plan on going for a sportage 4 wheel drive this time as we have moved to a very hilly semi rural space we need that power vs when we lived smack bang in the middle of a town

(Hope not temping fate 😂😅) zero issues. The spec is always great and we go for extras that would be way out of budget with a merc or audi

Eta- always been automatics too

Despite living in a hilly very rural area, we didn’t have any issues with our 2WD on the road, it was off-road (as in properly off-road, fields, not just roads with no tarmac on them) that it didn’t suit our needs.

Agree that the tech can be quite intrusive on the new ones.
