CAM chain warranty fix - now DPF saturated - not covered Help!

Hello! New here and would appreciate any insight.

I have a Peugeot 3008, 69 plate bought July 24. In March 2025 we had a cam chain issue which made the car blow black smoke / limp mode and we were recovered to the garage. When they fixed the chain (under warranty- with a fight) I said I expect the DPF to need replacing due to the smoke etc. They said it would be fine. I have this conversation in writing.

Car returned in June and in November I had an ad-blue warning light, at diagnosis they said a flooded DPF - not warranty covered as it’s a consumable. Car at 88k miles and mostly motorway miles (35 mile commute each way).

We’re fighting the two are related, or at-least the cam chain reduced the lifespan of the DPF. We’d like them to cover Atleast half the replacement cost - Does this sound reasonable? Any help would be appreciated!

Cambelt issues are rarely covered by a warranty. I think that you were lucky to have that done. Expecting them to contribute towards the fix of another issue 5 months down the road that might or might not be related is extremely wishful thinking.
