Last week i was slowly edging forwards out of my drive and another woman who was speeding collided with me. Couldn't see her because of vans parked up. I didn't hear it either. My DD began crying bless her. Both got damage obviously and I'm unsure if they'll write off my car but i hope they do. I've had headaches and dizziness since but luckily all ok. I'm going back to walking, bike etc 🤦‍♀️ probably both our fault or mine but everyone's such in a rush and angry.

You are at fault as you were merging onto the main road and the main road has right of way.

Well legally it was your fault but if you feel driving is not for you it is probably best to not drive you need a certain level of confidence to drive safely.

Look, we all make mistakes and anyone who says they’ve never made a driving error is lying. Shoulders back, chin up. The insurers will deal with it. Yeah your premiums will go up a bit but in the grand scheme of things that’s ok.

No, not both party’s fault - yours unfortunately. The speeding of the other car MAY go down as a contributing factor, but will be exceptionally difficult to prove.

But hey, shit happens. Accidents happen all the time and you need insurance to sort out the financial side and then move on. It’s happened now, easier said than done but try not to ruminate on it.
