Non-Status car finance

Does anyone have any experience of non-status car finance? I’d like to lease a car that’s fairly new. My credit score is not perfect but I have little debt and a good wage. I know someone who got a car with no credit check but the payments are too high for me to use that company.

Why lease a car? Why not buy one?

It’s mainly because I have leased through for the last 6 years (through salary sacrifice).

I obviously do not know your specific situation - but I would not make the choice of leasing a car. Buy a car you can afford out right with no payments. If you can’t afford that then try and save for it first. Why does it need to be a lease - you’re saddling yourself with a payment that will never end. Unless you’re rolling in money it’s just doesn’t make any sense to me. But then again I hate monthly payments
