Tusker salary sacrifice

My employer is due to start offering a salary sacrifice car lease scheme via Tusker. Is anyone currently using Tusker and willing to share what they pay? I don’t want to get my hopes up that it will be affordable and then be disappointed when they release prices to us.

Around £500pm

Depends how fancy you want the car to be. Remember also that the deduction cannot take you under the NMW, so if you are close to it, the scheme probably won't work for you.

Check it doesn’t have an impact on any pension contributions. The reduction in salary can impact the percentage you pay which has quite a kick in the long term.

My work do it but I’m not in the scheme yet, thinking about it in a year or two when I need to replace my car. Looked like I could get a decent medium sized car for about £500pcm , obviously you can pay more for something fancier

I would be looking at something like an MG4 so nothing fancy at all.

Dh has this (NHS), it does have the potential to affect his pension but we looked at it carefully with our financial adviser and it was still worth it for us. It think we pay around £600 a month but that's for a Kia E Niro, we've had it 3 years and will get the next one next month. After this next 3 years we won't do it again because of his pension (he will be close to retirement then).

What car did you get for that amount?

£500-600 a month is more expensive than private leasing! I know you get insurance included but does it work out cheaper once you've had the tax relief? Struggling to see the benefits really! We lease a car privately for £290 a month.

I was shocked when I looked at the Tusker prices through my work scheme. Cheapest seemed around £500. I know you get a lots of stuff thrown in but honestly. £500 quid for a medium OKish car!

We have a 74 plate BMW i4 with all the bells & whistles, costs around £600 a month but that includes insurance, servicing etc.
