BUS LANE FINE MOTABILITY

My daughter has a Motability car, she doesn't drive. I was driving her recently and went in a bus lane and a fine has been issued addressed to her as the keeper of the car. Does anyone know whether this can be contested? I suppose I'm asking whether the fine is for the car or the person driving the car!!

@stichguru I just mean that with a Motability car there are fewer people insured to drive it compared to a normal car. I'm not sure whether OP is asking about whether she should pay the fine vs her daughter (answer is yes), or whether there are grounds to not pay at all (no).

Where I live a bus lane fine is like a parking ticket - it's just a fine which has to be paid. Not like a speeding ticket where you have to specify who was driving.
Are motability cars allowed in bus lanes? Is this why you want to contest the ticket OP?

Where I live taxis, bicycles and motorbikes are allowed in the bus lane so I don't think it's a ridiculous notion that motability cars might be allowed too 🤷‍♀️

No need to laugh at me @PinkPonyClub25 - obviously they're ** cars, but I was trying to think of why the OP would have grounds to contest the ticket...
