Skoda infotainment screen freezing

Hi, unlikely anyone here can help but before I pay £££ to the garage, thought I’d check! After 20 mins or so, the screen in our car completely freezes and we can’t do anything with it. Car still works but it’s annoying as you can’t use sat nav or listen to music etc. Has anyone experienced this and what was the solution, if any? Hopeful thanks in advance!

Mine did this on my last Skoda! I didn’t get it fixed because I sold the car but you can get them fixed or you can put in an after market one, they’re pretty much plug and play. Halfords sell them.

When I enquired about the fix it was about £250 which isn’t far off what a new one would cost.

The only time mine froze was in the recent freezing weather but worked after a few mins. Otherwise no issues in the 6-7 yrs we’ve had it.

Interesting @Mingenious as I’ve done some googling and it seems this is a common issue! It’s our third Skoda and first time it’s happened. I’ll look into the replacements. Thanks x

Mine freezes but usually only for a bit after starting the car and it's been cold. Doesn't happen in the summer.

Mine starts up fine when it’s freezing cold, but stops working after a while - frustrating!

Mine has frozen once (21 plate Karoq) but it was in conjunction with the SOS call doing its random deactivation.
