Small used car for countryside?

Hi, am moving into the countryside and need something that is fairly robust and has a decent clearance etc. Currently have a 2012 Audi A3 and I love it...but clearance is a problem and it's getting on.
What is 3 or 4 years younger, costs around 10k, enjoyable to drive and will suit the country roads and floods!
TIA 😊

Suzuki Ignis if you want small. not pretty but does the job- look for a 4wd one.

When I went camping last year, the site owner swore by her Fiat Panda 4x4. Great for the tiny Devon roads but robust enough for the dirt track to the site which had pot holes the size of small lakes in it!

You could pick up a 2021 Dacia Sandero Stepway for about £10k. Ground clearance is 17.4cm fully loaded and 20cm unladen, which is better than many so-called SUVs.

Tbh I manage fine in my Fiesta and I'm frequently driving across fields/byways but I do avoid very muddy conditions.

I work on a racing yard and drive a Skoda Fabia Estate. It's been absolutely fine, even through some crap weather!

Suzuki jimny

You'll struggle to get a Jimny that's less than 10 years old for less than £10K. They hold their value.

Not sure how many of these count as "small" - the Yeti perhaps but the youngest of them is now pushing eight years old.
