Google maps no longer plays on my Aygo X pure screen

I've recently encountered an issue with Google Maps. I was successfully using my smartphone connected via my USB cable allowing me to navigate on the screen. However, about a week ago, this feature abruptly stopped functioning. Now, each time I attempt to use it, I receive an error message indicating that "navigation does not work in this system," or something similar. It’s disheartening, especially since this setup had been working flawlessly until now.
In search of answers, I spoke to someone at the dealership who suggested that the problem could be related to poor signal reception. This led me to visit my mobile provider, where I was informed that my phone actually has a perfect signal. With both options ruled out, I find myself at a loss regarding the next steps to troubleshoot this issue. Navigating without Google Maps has been quite a challenge, and I truly miss the convenience it provided while driving.
I'm reaching out for any assistance or troubleshooting tips you might offer to help me get back to using Google Maps in my car again.
TIA. By the way, I've used two new cables, but this hasn't improved matters 🥺

Is your phone using the latest operating system? Has your car updated to be android auto without the need for a cable? Mine doesn't need a cable for Apple play.

Thank you, but I've no idea what you're talking about. I'm not technically savvy at all, much to my embarrassment 🤦

Ha! Me neither. Just go to settings and see if there is an update waiting. Maybe search software update in the menu and see if there’s one waiting. Don’t know about the car. Sorry. I’m Apple so no idea how to sort an android. Also a technological dinosaur

Thank you for replying. I don't know what I've done, but it's worked! I have Google maps back. xxx 👏
