Hi everyone.
I just need a bit of advice and help.
I am currently a carer for my partner.
He claims enhanced PIP and mobility.
None of his are working at the moment, he can't, and I care for him full time.
We have 3 small children, 2 are in full time school, my youngest is in nursery, just 3 days a week.

Does anyone know if there is somewhere I can get help with the childcare costs. I am debt it, as. My daughter was attending nursery before I got the free hours when she turned 3. She also does a extra 2 hours a week, making the bill £170 a month with the already bill I have.
She starts school in September, I really don't want to take her out of nursery, she would be absolutely broken hearted.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

A couple of ideas:
Your local carer's centre might have a support worker you can chat to, who knows about others who have faced similar issues.

Also, your local council might have a list of funding sources which could be relevant.

welcome to the terrible world of caring! are you claiming carers allowance? unfortunately there aren't any funds i know of for helping with childcare costs, my son had a disability social worker at one point, you could give them a call? and i haven't ever used any but I know plenty of people find support groups amazing and they will have lots of knowledge of what's available. could you drop the two extra hours at nursery?

This is information about Carers allowance and other benefits. Hope it helps. Remember to try to look after yourself. You must be exhausted.
