Has anyone applied for a DFG for a down stairs bedroom please? We have applied to get a down stairs bedroom and bathroom for my Son, however they have said they need to utilise the space we have and so they will convert our kitchen diner area in to a bedroom and put on a extension for a bathroom. We still have a lounge and small kitchen area that we can't fit a fridge or a freezer and will have less kitchen cupboard space and no room for a dining table.
I'm trying to find out if this is normal or whether others have been able to retain there space.
