Hello, i currently earn around £117 per week. Therefore I am not eligible for SMP. I do claim CA.

Can I claim carers allowance and maternity allowance at the same time?

There is so many threads on here saying no, but the government website says yes. I'm wondering if it has changed or if someone can explain for me please. Thank you

What benefits does the person you are caring for claim?

I think you can. Might be worth speaking to citizens advice

You can claim both but you won't get the full amount of both if MA is lower than CA you'll get the MA with a top up to take it to the same as you would have got on CA. You may be eligible for some UC top up though, contact CAB.

I think what the government website should say is that you can apply for both, but it’s subject to overlapping benefits regs, which means in practice no you don’t get both because they are both essentially work replacement benefits so only 1 can be paid and it is the higher one.
