I've just been granted a personal carers weekly allowance which I'm so surprised by. Waited three months for the assessment and was really asking and hoping for some emotional support as looking after DH has left me a bit frazzled.
I have to spend it on certain things like a cleaner and gym membership. The assessor said the money is put on a card but I pay all of the bills by direct debit so can I just transfer the money to my account? Never had a cleaner before so that's going to be amazing.
I'm just so happy that this has been granted.
