Elderly relative with dementia has landline phone that has a fault. Today when I’ve rang to chase what’s happening they have said only option is that they send phone hub with an adapter and then send an engineer to install. I’ve said they don’t want broadband - but they’ve said it’s the only option and just don’t use it apart from for the phone. This is going to stress relative and also they won’t be able to use phone in electricity cut. . had the landline not developed a fault they’d have continued to use existing phone plugged into wall. Have other people had this with elderly relatives who struggle with change? Is it something I can challenge
