Personal Budget For Carers

I’m a unpaid carer for a family member - full time. I’ve been assessed for a personal budget but don’t really know what it’s about.
they’ve advised I’m entitled to get a direct payment for a service/going out/for a item (pamper session, nails, coffee out, restaurant, theme park membership or buying an item for myself)
has anyone had this & know an amount for what you can buy? Haven’t been given enough information tbh

I've not heard of this but I'm following with interest.

@Mumofoneandanotherontheway what happened in the end? I'm waiting for a carers assessment and it would be amazing to get some money for a little break. Even just a day out somewhere knowing mum is being looked after would be heaven.
