Cancelling carers allowance?

How long does it take for carers to stop once you've informed them of any changes. I know it's paid on a Monday but if you cancel before this will you get the payment still and have to pay it back?? Also do they inform income support or would I need to do that? Thanks in advance

I cancelled carers allowance once I stared earning over the £100 per week (or what the amount is now). I think it stopped straight away. Can't remember if they paid the week after I cancelled. The didn’t ask for any money back.
