Hi,
I'm hoping that someone can point me in the right direction as to where I can find such a person.
The situation is that my mother in law has been looking after my niece & nephew for 5 years now (their mum passed away).
She has diabetes & it's now getting to the point that she needs more time to take care of herself so she needs someone to live in at hers so they can essentially be a nanny to the kids but do all the jobs around the house too.
The carer part comes in as they would need to have some knowledge of diabetes & what to do if she ends up going into a hypo.
So without going into it further & being here all day.....is there such a person?
A live in nanny with medical knowledge?
If so where do I look for said person??
She has been looking for some time with no joy but I really want to get this situation sorted as she has now been advised not to drive so things are getting more difficult for her.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Have you approached the council? Logically that’s the first place to start looking. Alternatively you can find a carer on care.com a database of childcare providers worldwide. Your local council should definitely be able to answer your questions and help you find appropriate support. Take a look at their website.
There are lots of care companies in Britain. Google care providers and see what you can find. I’d suggest calling up each number and asking for a meeting at your house. If there’s no phone number available I would email them with your questions.
There should always be a website too. On it you should also find details of services provided by the company. Be honest with them. Outline all of your requirements. Provide information too. Good luck. Hopefully you’ll find someone.
Direct payments are another option.
