Hi I’m hoping someone can help.
I need to take time off work to look after someone with a terminal illness in their last few weeks. I’m planning on asking for unpaid leave.
Does anyone know if I am entitled to ask for this . I’d rather not quit my job but will if I need to . Thanks in advance for any advice .

Sorry no advice. But I hope your employer shows some compassion and lets
you do this.

Sorry I don't know but would imagine as they are not one of your children or immediate family it would probably be at their discretion. I hope they allow this for you though xx

You need to look at your company's policy. Most big companies will allow compassionate leave for a stated period- often quite a long time-but it will be unpaid.
