Neurological Disorders i.e Parkinson's exempt from Council Tax

My late Mother suffered with Parkinson's apparently " Someone certified with a permanent condition affecting their intelligence & social functioning is disregarded for council tax purposes in England, Scotland & Wales".

I have written to my local Council & had this confirmed in writing, I have now begun the process to reclaim the tax. I was unaware of this & wanted other carers to be made aware. I have posted a link from the Money Saving Expert web site below
