It is when you are caring for your own children and elderley parents, and you are stuck in the middle.

It is very very hard to deal with.

sorry overdraft, didn't mean to keep you hanging on wondering what I was on about - got distracted.
But I'm glad fizz filled you in (as it were!)
The nutcracker thing is just a phrase I've heard used in the same way - being squeezed from both sides of the age divide etc

anniebear · 01/02/2007 19:51

I wouldn't have a clue what it meant either

I though everyone was going to discuss what butties they had for lunch lol

handlemecarefully · 01/02/2007 19:56

Lol - my first impression was that it was something to do with our excessive work ethic and people's tendancy to grab 'lunch on the run'. Interested to discover the real meaning.

Greensleeves · 01/02/2007 19:56

I was pondering this. Have the MNHQ lot all got the munchies or something?

WideWebWitch · 01/02/2007 19:57

It's people who are looking after young children AND their own parents.

WideWebWitch · 01/02/2007 19:58

Sorry, see fizzbuzz already answered.
