Anyone else with a sibling with schizophrenia?

Worrying about parents health and the future when they aren't around any more.

Sad

I do but not too serious. It's under control with meds.

Is your sibling quite bad with it? What are your exact concerns?

Oh gawd OddSocks, so sorry I haven't returned til now. I have literally just come back to this post after reading through yours, and you have so much on your plate too. Thank you for responding.

My dsis does not often comply with meds and situation is very complex. It's just very hard to think I won't have my folks about much longer to share the looking out for her. I can wallow about it at times if I'm not careful!

But you have your own problems. I didn't post on your thread as it selfishly upset me as dsis is quite close to being on the streets, often disappears off at times.

Flowers to you, and all you appear to have been through (not read your original threads, just the active one. Glad your sleeping safe now.

Oh don't worry about that!

I'm quite lucky that my sister does take her meds and is generally ok so is fairly self-sufficient. My worry with her is the feelings she has of being invincible, it wasn't too long ago she had somebody pull a knife on her as she thinks she take on anything.

It's difficult because there's very little you can actually do. And you still have your own life too.

Do you have other family to help or is it just you and your parents?
