Assistance dog for elderly relative?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post. Wasn't sure where to go.

My elderly relative lives alone, has Ok sight but poor hearing and suffers from dizzy spells. He is possibly interested in getting a dog who could help him and be alert for falls etc ( he has a falls alarm already). He would love the companionship too and I think he could afford to pay. Any ideas where to go? TIA

I'd try Hearing Dogs for the Deaf as a first port of call. I also know a lady with MS who has an assistance dog, I think through the MS society.
