Or will I have to persuade DH to change his car?

When he bought the car we just had DD1 (2yrs) and as her seat fitted it was fine - but now with DC2 on the way we'll need to get an infant seat in the car as well. Does anyone think this is remotely possible or can I use it as an excuse to cajole DH into buying a more sensible car? (This wouldn't be for everyday use, just when my car is out of action)

Nice motar but you may want to try and convince dh to get a more family friendly one

You can fit two rear facing car seat in your car but you would have to use front seat as well. Contrary to popular opinion front seat is as safe or safer than rear seat as long as airbag is deactivated with key or switch.

Changing to a more family friendly car would of course also not be a terrible idea;-)

Thank you both, I'll keep scouring the internet for options.

Problem is that DH is quite tall so there's very little room behind the driver's seat if he's drving.

I knew he should have got the Golf!
