Do your move your child up when they turn 4, or hit a certain height/weight?

DS1 is nearly four but lanky and is starting to look a bit uncomfortable in his seat. Do we keep him there til his birthday or move him now if his weight is enough (need to double check exactly but he's probably nearly 3 stone ish and very tall.)

Currently agonising over what to move him up to, I see the Graco one is reduced to £25 at Asda but is it really safe enough?

We're the opposite - Ds is 4.5 and a short arse (like me) and we're pondering whether to move him up a seat or not. I think he's just on the lower end of the weight threshold

i would keep them in a 5 point harness until they are the maximum weight as this is the safest. so 18kgs for group 1 seats or they are too tall-when the eyes are level with the shell of the seat.

my super tiny mindee was in a priori until he was nearly 7 as he was tiny and light!

i have no idea about the graco seats-sorry!

If still withing the height / weight ratios Id keep them in a 5 point harness as long as humanly possible. Ds has been in a high back booster since 2 but I really am not overly comfortable iwth that.

Thank you! Will weigh and measure him and see where we're up to. Am currently trying to figure out which seat is best...

the britax kidfix scored best in which (if you have isofix) and there's one for £100 in kiddicare.
