Comfy car seats...?

I'm doing some research into stage 1 car seats and I've noticed that lots of them seem really hard where DD would sit. We do lots of long journeys with DD and I want to get a seat that will be comfy for her. It just felt like there was virtually no padding and I could feel the plastic underneath (they were Britax & Maxi Cosi ones in Mothercare).

I'm liking the Jane Exo as it has reclining features and the reviews say it's comfortable. Plus our car has Isofix points and we'd like to utilise those.

So... do you have a Jane Exo - is the seat padded/comfy? Or do you have another make that is well padded and comfortable for your LO?

Any help appreciated as I don't want to buy a dud

hi, have you considered a group 1 rear facing car seat? they are much safer. ds has the britax two way elite-is not isofix but is comfortable and he manages to sleep in it most times when he gets in the car. the besafe isofix one is very padded-i'm considering getting this one for my mindee. have a look on www.rearfacing.co.uk for more info.

Thanks. I've taken a look but unfortunately we have integrated floor storage in our C3 Picasso so I won't be able to buy any seat that requires the use of a leg support if it doesn't clear the lid of the storage. Frustrating and it's about time car manufacturers took this into account seems lots of family cars now have this storage

the britax 2 way elite doesn't have a support leg

with some of them you can adjust it so that the leg misses the storage compartment too.
it's also ok if the leg reaches to the bottom of the compartment
and some car manufacturers make a block you can put inside the storage compartment so it is solid

we got the britax two way elite as we had underfloor storage in my car too! is so annoying isn't it? i never used the underfloor storage either!

you should have a look.

Agree nicm it's such a stupidly small size compartment. Our Maxi Cosi Cabriofix leg doesn't quite reach the bottom

Will look into the Britax though, thanks for the advice.
