Matiz's and car seat

Ladyemmalou83 · 10/01/2010 20:48

Although not due to give birth for another 5 months, DH and I are trying to solve our biggest problem. Having agreed that my car should have the car seat we are now worried as cant seem to find anything for a Dawoo Matiz. Does anybody have any thoughts or suggestions? Is there a website I could find out at?

Thanks everyone

hi my mum has a matiz and the only one we found that fit was a britax first class the one where you can have it rearfacing till 13kg then have it forward facing til 18kg.
You might get away with a maxi cosi baby seat or similar it all depends on how long the seat belt is. we had a graco which wouldn't fit in her car as the seatbelt couldn't fit round it.

hi my friend had a wee matiz about 6 years ago and had a britax baby carrier. not sure what model it was though.

I think the Britax fit finder has gone downhill

It says nothing will fit in my Audi A3 without isofix which is totally not the case

Best plan is to drive to Halfords or Mothercare and see what they can get to fit for you

forgot to say that the reason most seats won't fit the matiz is because of buckle crunch.
i agree that your best bet is to go to halfords/mothercare and get them to try some out. Alternatively if you're anywhere near milton Kenes go to the in car saftry centre or contact them at www.incarsaftycentre.co.uk
they know their stuff and might be able to let you know which ones would be likely to fit over the phone.
