which seat for a 3.5 year old who has just outgrown maxi priori

i need some advise i have a 3.5 year old whose head is over the top of his car seat yet he is apparently small for his age- he weighs about 2.5 stone. i think he needs the nexct stage car seat- what do people recommend and what does the which? report recommend? thank you

I was told it was when their eyes were level with the top of the seat that it was time to move to the next stage as well as meeting the weight requirements.

For us that was when our DD2 was not much past 3 (we obviously put too much manure in her bed )

We bought a Graco high backed booster seat that seemed to be well padded and had some cup holders.

Over 15kgs (33lbs) and they can be in a highbacked booster

Infinity Pro by Kiddy came top twice in Wihc this year. It is the group 1 seat. I think they tested in Febrauary and June. See if you can find it. The website is german but has English version .www.kiddy.de
