Where is good to try out high back booster seats?

I'm in the lookout for HBB seats for my 7 year old DT. I have taken advice from here to try stuff out first, but am finding it hard to find anywhere I can do this.

Halford don't seem to stock any safe HBBs. John Lewis do, but it's several weeks before they have an appointment available and they don't have the one I particularly like, Britax kidfix, in stock in my local one.

Any suggestions? It seems for an expensive item (and I need two! ) that needs to be comfy and will be used for a long time there should be more options!

I'm in Hampshire. There's also a Baby centre place in Ringwood, but isn't open at weekends, and Bijou baby but it seems to have a very limited choice of HBB.

Hi OP, we will soon have 3 children and I’ve been down the whole 3 across rabbit hole.

For a HBB we settled on the maxicosi Tanza. It’s one that we actually bough for use on holiday and then decided it would work well as an every day seat. It gets a reasonable score on the ADAC, can be used with or without isofix and doesn’t require a top tether. It’s much narrower than the Britax one we had before and fits in the middle seat.

I haven’t tried 3 of them in a row but it fits well int he car with 2 erf seats so I would expect 3 or them to fit. Or even one of these between 2 wider seats.
