Wanted: The easiest buckling FF harnessed seat recommendations!

I’m looking for recommendations for harnessed forward facing seats with an easy buckle.
Ideally it could then be used as a high back booster when the child is older.

And around the £150 mark as it’s an occasionally used seat for my mother’s second car.

She currently has a Joie Tilt but finds the buckle a faff on compared the Britax Dualfix in her other car, but doesn’t want a seat with a “leg.”

I don’t know if Joie are faffy buckles particularly!

I have one of the last Britax two way elite’s made that would do for now but it’s not the least faffy buckle ever and I appreciate things have moved on!

Yes I think Joie are a bit more faffy. Britax or Maxi Cosi tend to be designed to be easy to use.

I like the Britax Evolvafix, it turns into a very good HBB. It does need top tether to fit - all the FF harness to booster seats do. It's not on offer at the moment in any physical stores, making it quite a bit over budget, but I can see it on amazon in an older colour for £149. I think this is probably the same buckle as the Dualfix.

Maxi Cosi Titan S i-size is also close to budget at £160 (Argos).

Another option is to look at a completely different style of seat, like Cybex Pallas - the "B" version of this is within budget. They are really easy to use, though I've only used the older style which used to use the actual seatbelt. This newer type has like a seatbelt type fastening on each side which you tighten like a top tether.

I don't like the TWE used forward facing, so would personally prefer to replace it ASAP. It's a very old seat design and safety has moved on significantly. (When used RF the age of the design doesn't matter.)

We went with the Evolvafix in the end, my Britax love is unwavering! We did use the TWE for a few days but I was very conscious of how much things have moved along so it’s now relegated to the “emergencies only - short journeys at a absolute pinch seat.”

The evolvafix is not the same buckle as the dualfix annoyingly which is the easiest buckle in Britax’s range as far as I’m concerned, but mother reports it is still considerably less faffy than the Joie!
