HI - I was wondering if anyone could help. We are looking for a car seat set up. We currently have a 2 year old in a Sirona car seat. And we have twins coming shortly and we don’t want to replace the car and ideally keep our 2 year old rear facing. Can anyone help there is very little on line about actual solutions!

When I had 3 under 2 I went to a reputable shop that fitted car seats and they tried various combinations until they were happy z

Hi OP. Congratulations.
I’d suggest finding your local independent retailer and spending some time trying out options with them. Unless you have a car with three full size seats, you may need to change the Sirona for a belted seat and look at belted options for the twins.
Good luck!

Totally second the suggestion to look for an independent local ERF specialist. As you're happy to continue RF your 2yo it is usually the best solution. If you haven't come across the Swedish type seats before, they are much easier to tesselate with other car seats and get 3 across even in a tight/standard car. They also last much longer meaning you'll get more use out of it. It might be that you can keep the Sirona as one of the seats you'll use longer term, depending on what fits best in the car.

Axkid are one of the manufacturers of the ERF seats and only that type of seat meaning if you look on their website for stockists, usually your local Axkid stockist will also have other ERF type seats but they will be knowledgeable about this kind of seat and how they fit together.

Then this article is old now, but might give you a useful starting point and some tips. Unfortunately most of the seats in the article are no longer sold, but it does show that it's far from impossible to fit three seats across AND continue RF in many models of car: http://erfmission.com/car-seats-3-across-in-the-backseat/

If your browser gives a warning, it's just because it's http not https, which is because it's an old website from before https was standard.

3 across the back seat

Car Seats – 3 Across In The Backseat

Welcome to what I hope will be a useful guide for anyone looking to find cars which will let you put “3 across” in the backseat. :) By that, we, of course, mean car seats. If you are li…

I was in the same position (2 year old and newborn twins) and ended up with having to compromise at first. So the 2 yo in the front in rear facing, and airbag off, and the non driving parent squished in the back between the twins. Eventually we upgraded the car, but had considered a brand called Multimac, which looks excellent but a little expensive. As the car was older we decided to put it towards a new car rather than invest.
