ERF seats/Axkid Minikid 2 installation question

Can anyone explain to me whether it's possible to adjust the front seat once an Axkid Minkid 2 is installed behind it? Or does the front seat have to remain fixed in position once the AM2 is tethered to it? Wondering if it's possible to have it tethered to the driver's seat, which will need constant adjusting as DH and I are very different heights - or will that mean that every time we need to switch drivers the whole seat would need to be uninstalled, driver's seat adjusted, and then seat reinstalled? I can't understand the instructions I've found online.

Hi, no experience with the Minikid, but do have experience with other tethered ERF seats. You tethered under the rails so it shouldn’t have an impact on the position of the seat in front, particularly if you tether around the bolt, rather than the rail. It will only be an issue if you tether through the seat itself. You can buy tether loops which attach to the seat rail (or you may already have them if you have a Volvo.

Thank you FamilyAreEverything. Looks like we currently have it tethered to the seat in front so hopefully we can fix the issue by using the sliding rails instead.

Thank you both. We have managed to use the rails now. Very grateful for the advice as I hadn't realised there were several possibilities for tethering it.
