Footrests for child in car

Hi.
Does anyone have any recommendations on a footrest we could use in the car for our child. He is complaining his legs are aching even on long journeys.
We have just turned him forward facing after 6 years and 1 month so want him to be as comfy as possible.
I have seen the Swandoo footrest and also the Kneeguard one, I wasn’t sure which one would be best or if there is a cheaper alternative.
Thank you!

We just ordered a large block of polystyrene. No risk of damage in a crash but strong enough to put feet on.

Aww that’s a good idea! I have also seen some blow up ones, that might be good as a cheaper option. Thank you!

We have the KneeGuard. Really easy to fit if you have isofix and seems to be compatible with most HBB.
