Currently have a 5, 3 year old and one baby on the way. I cant seem to find three car seats that fit together on the backseat (Tiguan Allspace). Has anyone had any luck with different make carseats fitting?

Check out the safety info about the Multimac. When we looked many years ago we quickly decided against it

I have a 6 year old and 3 year old twins.

In my SUV I currently have 2 x maxi cosi mica eco which are suitable from newborn to 4. So could be used for your baby and 3 year old. Then in the middle seat with have a high back booster suitable from 15 months to 12 years with a harness strap- the harness strap is needed as can't reach to strap a seat belt in.

The micas are technically 360 spin, so can be forward or rear facing. Although with the middle car seat in the car you can't spin so have to stay as either front or rear.

When the twins were newborn we had the same high back booster in the middle. With a cabriofix and pebble either side- as these could clip in and out of the isofix base to take in and out the car.

But if you go to a specialist baby shop or halfords you can try out options in your car

You will need a narrow high backed booster for the eldest and put them in the middle. Most of the high back booster seats are only safe to use the 5 point harness until the child is around 4 years old. This isnt always made clear in the sales pitch but is in the handbook. For the younger 2 you could get any isofix but the wider they are the less space your eldest will have so the narrower the better. You also need to consider access to the middle seat especially if the other 2 are rear facing.

I gave up in the end and changed my car to a berlingo. 3 full size seats across the back and all isofix compatible. Its still a struggle reaching the middle seat to strap in but at least the middle one isn't so squished! I don't understand why more cars arent designed with kids car seats in mind - especiallly those targeted at families.
