High back booster for fixed head rests

Feel like I’m going round in circles with this one…

Currently have Britax Kidfix high back boosters. But child has grown 6 inches apparently overnight and now needs the headrest up. The car (Ford Puma) has fixed rear headrests which cannot be removed, and this is now a problem because he needs the head support high enough that it is pushed out by the headrests.

So - is there a high back booster which would work in this scenario? Either with a low back to the head support, or that can have a gap between the back of the seat and the car seat?

Which Kidfix is it? The older ones used to be good for this as the headrest sat slightly forward of the backrest, but I think the newer ones don't have that design.

I would send a photo to Britax and see if they say the fitting is OK as it is with the gap. If not and you can't find a high back with the right clearance, a backless booster still does the important part which is rerouting the lap belt over the pelvis. Sometimes when children are taller this is a better fitting solution for them.

Ooh, interesting, we have three slightly different ones across two cars and my mums! I’ll have a look and see if any of them work. Sending a photo is a good call too.
