Cybex Solution T iFix vs Solution S

Hi all

My 9 year has been in a Solution S for a few years and it's been no problem, and feels really sturdy.

We recently bought a solution T (the current model) for my youngest and ended up taking it back. Problems were:

  • back felt really weak. For example when attaching the back to the base on assembly and clicking it into place, it would keep leaning back and "unclicking". Not a huge problem once in the car, but definitely noticed that the back was not as solid feeling and could lean away from the car
  • tiltable head rest really flimsy. It was much to easy switch it between the 3 positions (could happen by accident), and it would wobble / shake about even when in position.
  • general much more flimsy feel. For example, the arms of the chair felt very wobbly.

It just felt shoddy in general. None of these problems are in the Solution S, which feels a lot more solid, so we ended up returning it.

My question is, is all of this normal? And if so, is it a better design, or are they just now worse on quality on general? Anyone else notice the same issues?
