Shoulder straps too low? Yoyo besafe

I have the besafe yoyo car seat. My son is nearly 8 months and is easily in the range for height and weight. But the shoulder straps are not level with shoulders, more like armpit height. That makes it really hard to get them on safely.
It doesn't look like the height adjusts, nothing I can find in the manual. Infant insert has been out for months.
Do I need to get a new seat, I know lots are 6 months plus so should be ok.

There should be a button on the back of the seat which you push whilst pulling the straps up to raise the height

Is it this one? The manual says the height of the shoulder straps is adjustable on page 11 - there’s a release handle on the back of the seat that moves the headrest and the shoulder straps at the same time.

Thank you both so much! I think I've been reading a shorthand manual? It only had very brief instructions and pictures.

The website I linked to has all the manuals for all the besafe car seats so you can find the one that matches your seat. There will be a way to adjust the straps, otherwise no infant car seat would fit a 3kg newborn and a 10kg 12 month old.

Yes it sounds like they are too low - the Yoyo Besafe seat is the same as one of the izi Go Modular models, but I am not sure which one exactly. Try the method in that manual, and if it's no good, go back to the Besafe website and look for another manual to check.

They will definitely be adjustable.
