Can't decide which one to go for out of these 2, the cozy n safe isize galaxy or the jovikids.
Baby is 8 months old.
Any help would be great!

Personally, I don't love either of them, but if it has to be one of the two I prefer Cozy n Safe.

The top tether on both of these is a bit of an issue in that the placement doesn't give as good support to the seat when rear facing in an accident, and if you choose to turn the seat forward facing then you won't be able to use the spin function with the tether attached, and it does need to be attached as it's a critical part of the safety features.

Usually I would recommend Joie 360 Spin or Graco Turn2Me as cheaper 360 degree spin seats on a budget, but both of those are a little bit more expensive than the seats you're looking at at the moment (about £130).

There is an Ickle Bubba 360 0-12 years seat which uses a different style of top tether (Y shape going round both sides of the seat) and a clip to make it easy to get LO out. That one doesn't have a forward facing harness mode, it goes straight from rear facing to high back booster. Again, I don't love that seat, and I'm not sure how it would last as a RF seat or what the fit is like as a HBB, but I do think it's a slightly better option than these two due to the style of the tether, and the cost is around the same (£110)

If your LO is 8mo then they might have a bit more time in their current seat and not need to move up yet, so you might be able to wait and see if the Joie/Graco seats go on sale at all, perhaps at Easter. Do you know what the limit is on your seat and where LO is in relation to that?

Also - is £100 a hard budget for the next stage car seat?

Really appreciate your reply.
We currently have the silver Cross simplicity. He's wanting to sit up ect, which is making me want to get a reclining seat for him.

I do like the style of the 2 you have mentioned so perhaps may get one of those instead as the top tether was bugging me the thought of it anyways.
If I could get a seat with just the isofix fitting that would be best, definitely.
I could stretch to another 30-40 to get the right seat most definitely.

Thinking I may be rushing into getting him the next size now.

I think it's now a choice between these, any suggestion? Thank you

Definitely the Joie or Graco out of the four. It doesn't really matter which one - they are the same model with slightly different branding :)

Graco Turn2Me i-size is £139 on amazon - that has improved side impact protection.

You could probably stick with the seat you have if you wanted to but I understand the wanting to sit up phase! These seats are also much higher so should give a good view out of the window.

Brilliant, honestly thank you.
Will be going for one of those then.
He's walking around furniture already and just wants to be up and about constantly haha.
Thanks again! 😊

Hi, sorry to bother you! I've just come across the cosatto all in all seat do you have any opinion on this one?

Or the cybex seat.

I've seen people struggle to get a good fit for their child in the Cosatto All in All, and the rear facing mode is only allowed to be used in the most reclined position, which is a bit of a pain.

The Cybex one - do you mean Sirona Gi i-size? That's a great option, even better than Joie I'd say.

Similar to Cybex you could also look at Britax Dualfix Plus or Maxi Cosi Mica or Quartz.

MyGoldDreamer · 25/03/2025 07:40

That's really helpful thank you. I'll keep clear of the cosatto then.
I'll have a look at those ones!
😊
