Cybex Cloud Z2 newborn insert

Hi everyone,

We’re expecting Baby Number 2 and are reusing our Cybex Cloud Z2 car seat as it is in great condition. Our DS used this car seat up until January but did not need to use the newborn insert as he was older.

I put the newborn insert away when he no longer needed it but now worried I’ve lost a bit. I’ve taken a picture to show what insert part I’ve got and was just wondering if anyone can confirm this is the full newborn insert for this particular car seat or if we are missing anything? I feel as though I’m going mad as the newborn phase was a bit of a blur and can’t remember much, lol! We’re due Baby Number 2 in a month so want everything sorted ASAP.

Yeah it's just that one insert, the only thing that's missing in the picture is the shoulder pads, and make sure the headrest is down to the lowest setting

That's right, it will look a bit better when you slide the headrest down. I think you can sort of tuck it under the headrest as well.

Yes agree you want the shoulder pads for the straps as they stop them being so rough against the baby's neck. And if you don't have the pad for the buckle, that's worth finding as well, it looks a bit like a fish, you tuck the "fish tail" into the slit in the cover.

To move the headrest down, pull the little circle behind it up and it will release it to slide up and down. You probably want it in the lowest position for a newborn.

The newborn insert stays in until about 3-4 months, roughly 60cm.
