Car seat for plane

Hi,

Turkish airlines say I can use a car seat for my 2 year old toddler as long as it is 40cm by 40cm. I have to secure it with plane seat belts so no isofix. Can anyone recommend any car seat that size please? Has anyone taken car seats on plane for their toddler? I prefer a front facing car seat.

I always took mine on but this was a long time ago so I can't advise on brands. They need to be forward facing with harness. Seat widths are the hard part as seats can be narrower these days!

You don’t need a car seat on a plane it’s completely unnecessary and a pain to carry and install.

Don't bother. If you want them to be more securely fastened in you can use one of these

Thanks for reply, I will look into it. Looks like it's American website. How long did it take to come?

@Cupcakegirl13

I disagree, I found travel with mine far easier in car seats as they are used to sitting in them. I was living overseas are regularly flew 10 hours, just me and the kids

@fari2014 I just linked the manufacturer website, you can get them on Amazon

You will struggle to get one which fits into those dimensions. Most are at least 42cm wide and nearly 50cm deep, even the smaller/more basic seats.

Possibly Maxi Cosi Nomad? Though I am not sure how well you could realistically secure this with a plane seatbelt.

I wouldn't bother for a two year old they can just sit in the seat or on your lap. More trouble than it would be worth imo
