Do i buy a car seat and isofix base separately, or one which has the base attached? I'm a grandma and won't use it that often. My grandson is 10 months old.

If your grandson is 10 months old, he’s probably old enough for a seat like the Joie 360 which comes with the base included. The Joie 360 is also a pretty great and safe car seat and I’ve heard Tesco have it for £99 at the moment. A lot of the modular system where the infant seat and toddler seat click into the same base work out way more expensive, especially if you don’t need the infant seat. Often the seats with the base included are a similar price to the ones without the base - which you need to spend another couple of hundred pounds on again.

If his parents use a carseat with isofix, then just buy a base, and when he comes to you they can drop him in his existing carseat.

Thank you for those ideas. 🙂

One with it attached. There's no benefit to a detaching base at this age and it tends to cost a huge amount more.

Agree that Joie 360 Spin is a good option on a budget Smile
