Best Car Seat for Newborn

Hi! I'm pregnant for the first time and I'm hoping to get a car seat in the Black Friday sales so have been doing some research but I'm so overwhelmed! I want safely of course but also I would like a seat that I can just lift out of the car to carry the baby inside rather than just a car seat. I have been donated a pram and other bits already so don't need the full travel system. Any advice would be hugely appreciated I feel like nothing is making sense any more!

The Maxi Cosi deals are good at the moment - the Pebble 360, Familyfix 360 and Pearl 360 set is a good price for the three of them (in a lot of places). The Pearl 360 is a rotating toddler seat which will take you up to approx age 4.

They also have a good deal on the Pebble S on amazon if you don't necessarily need/want the rotating base - this is a really good price for an infant car seat in general, and since that's not the most basic seat, it's a good offer.

Halfords has a clearance offer on Cybex Cloud Z2 which is the earlier name for the Cloud T (they then re-released it because it was clearer) - I believe that this goes onto the Cybex Base T, but you might want to double check with Cybex or Halfords before you buy since they don't have the Z2 base.

The only other ones I'd keep an eye out for are if you like the look of the Besafe Beyond set, (the base takes a rotating toddler seat which goes up to age ~7) the Avionaut seats (unique insert which really gives a brilliant fit for newborns), Joie Sprint/Nuna URBN (isofix capability without base), or the Doona (has wheels to use as a kind of mini-pushchair).

It's likely all of these (apart from the Doona) would be compatible with whatever pram you already have.
