Ickle Bubba Cirrus

Hello.

I’m looking to buy the Ickle Bubba stomp luxe travel system next week.

The reviews for the Galaxy and stratus car seat aren’t great. There is a car seat called ‘cirrus’ that I can only seem to find three reviews for which are all positive.

Has anyone got this car seat and can let me know if they have any issues with it?

Thanks
Charlotte

It looks pretty similar to the other ones - ie, not that great. It will do the job and be safe, but the position for babies doesn't look great to me.

The car seat adapters for the pram are standard Maxi Cosi/universal type though, so you could get a different car seat instead. If you're buying as a travel system, a lot of places will allow you to swap the car seat in the bundle for a supplement to the price. If you're just buying the pushchair, which often works out cheaper anyway, you could get the car seat separately.

Maxi Cosi, Joie, Cybex, Britax, Avionaut, Nuna, Recaro and Besafe will fit on that type of adapter.

These models are good value:

Joie i-Level (lie flat, but needs a base) or Sprint (can use isofix without a base)
Maxi Cosi Cabriofix i-size (cheap but short-lasting) or Pebble S (comfy)
Britax Baby-Safe Core (long lasting)

BabyPlanetOnline seem to be selling the older version of the Cybex Cloud (Z) very cheap, including some of the special fabrics, but I don't know anything about them as a retailer.

Besafe Go Beyond is worth a look, if you're interested in the second-stage seat for that base. It's a really pricey system but it's the only spin seat which does extended use up to 125cm (around age 6/7) - most spin seats only go up to 105cm ( around age 4).

For isofix bases for the car seat, you need the base from the car seat manufacturer - it won't go on an Ickle Bubba base.
