Advice on fitting 3 car seats into BMW X5

Hi there,
I have a 3.5 year old, 21 month old and will soon have a newborn. We are keen to avoid upgrading our car (BMW X5) and instead find car seat options that allow us to fit 3 car seats in the back. We currently have Cybex car seats but they seem too wide. Any advice on which brands and models would enable us to fit 3 car seats in the back would be much appreciated!
Many thanks!

You are probably going to want to avoid isofix entirely and look at belt fitted seats in order to get three across.

Axkid Minikid is usually a good one which would work for your older two until around age 7. If you have a Cybex infant carrier, fit this without base for the newborn. Once they have outgrown this at about 18 months you can swap the eldest (who will be nearly 5) into a high back booster seat whichever has the slimmest base you can find on the market then, and put the youngest into their Minikid.

It's going to be very tricky to find a good option for the 3.5yo if you want them forward facing, unless you go for a Multimac or put one child in the front. Multimac will probably mean forward facing your 1yo, though, unless they are very small for their age. This wouldn't be a great choice unless you're already FF due to something like travel sickness.

Honestly I don’t think it can be done. We had to get a multimac (which I highly recommend).
