Hi as a ftm I accidentally used a blow dryer to dry the carseat and read on the internet that it can bring up bad chemicals that can harm the baby. Do i need to change the carseat completely:( thanks and apologies for the stupid question

Never heard of that, safety standards of materials are high especially for carseats. Just rewash and airdry if it worries you.

Leave it outside for 24 hours, any additonal release from the hairdryer will dissapate. Buying a new one would add to the issue.

If you are concerned by off gassing and wanted to change anything, I would be looking at your baby's mattress to see if it is made of all natural fibres.

On the fabric? Surely a car seat on hot day will get that hot too, I think you might be worrying too much.

we spilled something and was in an hurry so I used the blowdryer and couple of minutes later placed the baby in it but never occurred it would be a problem until my friend warned me:( but will check the mattress for sure. Thanks for the reminder and i am open to anything else i need to look after.

Yes it says that there are fire retardants or polyester might melt. But i figured it would not be that hot:( but lesson learned.
