Car seat for a 9 yr old?

Son started complaining his seat is uncomfortable. Turns it it's for up to 25kg and he's 35kg, so no wonder! Oops.

What should I buy for a 9 year old which is safe, comfy and not expensive? He's in the car actually very rarely as we live in inner London.

Thanks

A booster seat unless your DS is >135cm then he doesn’t need one

He needs a high backed booster or a backless booster at age 9 :)

This is probably a good one, but I'd see if you can try it in store as he might be too tall for it.

If you go for a backless booster they are basically all the same, but I would pick one with a plastic shell not a polystyrene one.

It's worth having a high back if you ever do long drives and he might fall asleep. When they fall asleep on a backless booster they just flop straight over and it probably isn't very safe.

Great thank you. He is exactly 135cm so doesn't strictly need a seat now but he does fall asleep in the car so I think I'll try and find a booster seat with a back.
