Looking for recommendations please.

I am looking for a backless booster seat with isofix, which is suitable for a wider bum! Any recommendations please?

Fully aware of the law and the guidance, but my 10 year old is now too tall for the 150cm high backed booster but not quite in the seat belt ( in my opinion), so would like to boost him up a little for safety.... does anyone have a seat that they use for this age group please?

Wanting isofix so the thing doesn't rattle around and act as a missile when he is not holding it down.

Many thanks

I don't know for backless ones, but Diono are supposed to be the best high back for wider bums :) They only seem to have a non-isofix backless one, called Solana, which is really expensive too. The website says 42.9cm wide.

Peg Perego 2-3 Shuttle is supposed to be a good isofix one, but I'm not sure how wide it is. Their website says 44cm wide, but 32cm internal seat width (which sounds very different so confusing)

Graco Eversure Lite R129 is a newer backless booster that is designed more for older children but again seems to be approx 42/44cm wide (all the sites have different measurements) plus I think it might not be isofix.

Globalkids isofix booster on amazon - the belt guides sort of lean out to the sides so might be good.

Sorry that's not very helpful! It might be a case of going to somewhere like Halfords or Asda or Smyths that sell different backless boosters and trying them out?

Beware of the ones they sell online that don't have any of the little "horns" at the sides to put the belt through - these would likely prove to be a hazard in an accident.

Thanks very much BertieBotts, thats really helpful. I too sat and trawled through the sizes online and have ordered from Argos, which I can send back.... trial and error.

Thanks again

Yes, just double check their policy as some have blanket policies of no returns on car seats. Although a backless booster isn't quite the same they're normally lumped into the same category. It makes sense as a policy for other kinds of seats.
