Car seat advice for smallish 3 year old

We currently have a 3 year old and a 22 month old in rear facing joie 1spin 360, which goes to 105cm and 19kg. We have a Vauxhall insignia estate car with a spin eat at each side. We plan to keep using the seats until they max out height and weight. 3 year old is 94cm and 14.5kg so will get to between 4-5 we think.

We're going to have to fit a 3rd child/teenager who is big enought to be out of their car seat in the back seat over the summer. Looking to therefore get a forward facing seat for the 3 year old to use on the very odd occasions this will happen and to continueusong the current seat the rest of the time, as prefer rear facing but can't get the extra person in the car in the middle between these seats. We think we need to put the new seat in the middle of the car, leave the Joie seat for younger child rear facing (not spin) and would prefer the option to fix with isofix or belt.

We may need to use the seatbelt as the joie seat is huge and may impinge on the middle isofix, but we have tried an older seat belt only seat from a friend I the middle seat and it does fit safely with 3rd person in a seatbelt in the 3rd seat.

Would also prefer to keep using 5 point belt to 25kg. Ideally want to but a few seat rather than borrowing an old seat from a friend as this.may happen again and it's likely to be 2 years at least before we max out the first joie rear facing seat.

Would really appreciate some advice as I'm finding this really difficult to work out. Really happy with the current seats for day to day.

Are you on Facebook? Car seat safety uk would be able to give you the best advice.

Sorry I couldn't help more

I'd probably suggest Britax Duo Plus, the only issue is it isn't a 25kg harness. But I think you'd get another 18-24 months out of it with your child's measurements.

If desperate for the 25kg harness, then you could try Cozy n Safe Hudson. This is allowed to be fitted with either isofix + top tether, or seatbelt only for 9-18kg, then if used from 18-25kg with the 5 point harness, you must use all 3: Isofix, top tether and seatbelt. So it needs the isofix after 18kg.

Cozy n Safe is a less well known/respected brand than Britax and safety features seem pretty basic, which is why I would prefer to recommend the Britax ideally. But it does have the lower weight limit.

Recaro Tian Elite might also be worth a look. It's seatbelt fit only in harness mode though, and 18kg harness again but does convert to an Isofix booster seat and has a good safety rating.

Thank you both very much, I'll have a look at the group and the seats suggested.
