Can anyone tell me what is a good quality slim line backless booster? Trying to purchase so that I can fit an adult in the middle space in the back of the car and I'm going around in circles on Amazon as the specifications given don't seem right, people are posting different answers in the FAQs about how wide the seats actually are.

I would just go to a shop like Halford's or Smyths and have a look at what they physically are like, then you can try them in the car as well. You might even get a high back if you're lucky.

In terms of quality the backless ones are really all much of a muchness. For high back you find the ultra cheap ones often don't extend up very high so no use for taller/older children.

Think I might just do that, with my tape measure

You might not want to hear this but backless boosters offer little to no protection in an accident, you could pop into Halfords and see what they advise?
