Help!! My Isofix is stuck at a weird angle

Hoping someone has had this issue before…
I’m converting our Britain’s Romer Advansafix back to a 5 point harness for DS (after being used by elder DD) and somehow the isofix has been pushed into a weird angle. I only realised once I was about to put it back into the car. I can’t for the life of me figure how to put it back to straight! Can anyone help? Pics attached.

That isofix attachment is supposed to pull out straight for attachment in the car or retract back inside the seat when not being uesd. It looks like perhaps someone has left it pulled out (rather than pushing it back inside) and then used it without isofix so the isofix has got pushed out of position?

I would try to turn it back to the right placement and if no luck send an email to Britax, they are usually quite helpful.

Looks like it's came out of the runner. Can you bend it down and try and put it back in?

MatchesinEyes23 · 10/03/2023 15:32

It’s stuck really tightly, like it’s jammed against something. It’s not loose enough to push anywhere.

I know this isn't the same exact issue but perhaps it helps? https://www.youtube.com/shorts/bUPMJCSdoNI

Thanks @BertieBotts - this is the video that Britax customer help have sent me too. Unfortunately my isofix isn’t jammed into the seat, it’s come all the way out and is at a weird angle. The bar can’t be pushed or moved at all.
it’s just over two years old so not even sure Halfords will take a look at it. So frustrating.

I'd reply to them and tell them, I believe those videos tend to be made for customers just going by the wording of some of them so they might make you a new one.

2 years isn't long so Halfords is worth a try too.

Sorry to jump on did you manage to fix this at all @MatchesinEyes23 mine has the same problem and britax haven’t offered any help due to it being over two years old

MatchesinEyes23 · 03/04/2023 21:25

Not yet 😐TBH I’ve been so busy lately I haven’t had time to sort it out. DS has been travelling in his lightweight holiday car seat (non isofix) which isn’t ideal. Britax weren’t much help to me either, just told me to take it back to Halfords. But mines been over two years too, I’m not sure they’ll look at it. I might offer to pay for someone’s time, it should be cheaper than buying a new seat outright!
I still have no idea how mine got into that position, have you with yours @Ediedougie?

@MatchesinEyes23 @Ediedougie I have hit the same issue yesterday. Tried many things without luck, any chance u got it fixed ?

MatchesinEyes23 · 31/05/2023 10:42

Hi @Robertk
Not sure if you have managed to fix this yet but my husband managed to wiggle/force the bar back out from where it was stuck. He had to give it a really good push! The seat is ok now 😀
